Semiconductor Informatics

Semiconductor (noun) an integrated circuit or other electronic component containing a semiconductor as a base material Informatics (noun) the sciences concerned with collecting, transforming, storing, extracting, and classifying information.

The process of manufacturing semiconductor products is one of the most technologically challenging and complex of all industrial enterprises. A large amount of data is produced throughout the semiconductor manufacturing process. This data is used to monitor and control the manufacturing processes to maximize product yield and quality.

Semiconductor Informatics provides information about the sciences of the collection, transformation, storage, extraction, and analysis of the data produced during semiconductor manufacturing.
